John J. Turchi, Jr. founded Turchi Properties, Inc. in 1965. John has a comprehensive background in real estate covering financing and investing to commercial and residential development and construction. His expertise in real estate has resulted in a growing multi-million dollar company with diverse business opportunities.
Mr. Turchi has built more than 550 residential units, six shopping centers and three office buildings. In addition to development and construction, he has owned and operated a mortgage company and has held the position of Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of National Media Corporation, a driving force in home shopping infomercials. Under John’s leadership, National Media became a $370 million company with programming on the air around the world.
A lifelong resident of Philadelphia, John has special interest in the city’s historic buildings. He has successfully converted four such properties into approximately 360 luxury apartments, preserving the character of the architecture while giving new life and longevity to these grand structures.
